Meet Rachel Ramjattan

Rachel is the energetic founder and principal of Nonprofit Plus, LLC. Since the age of 12, she’s been actively fundraising to help people living in poverty.

Rachel is passionate about helping nonprofits get better at doing good. Her friendly personality, “Can Do” philosophy, and vast experience with fundraising, nonprofit technology, and training, is just what you need to thrive.

An avid learner, she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Management from Florida International University.

She holds many certifications and credentials including:

– Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and
– Florida licensed educator for K-12 Computer Science and
– Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) Spring 2015 Cohort for nonprofit executives.

With more than 20 years fundraising experience in development shops of many sizes, she’s well equipped to implement solutions that fit your needs.

Before becoming a consultant, Rachel served Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami by managing donor development, fundraising events, social media, website administration, CCHD national grant reviews, and a Salesforce-based constituent relationship management system.

Her nonprofit technology projects include:

  • Launching and growing social media channels
  • Managing website migrations to WordPress Content Management System
  • Implementing Convio Common Ground CRM
  • Migrating Convio Common Ground CRM to Causeview CRM
  • Peer-to-peer fundraising, and
  • Email marketing.

As the co-founder of a small non-profit, Rachel understands the challenges of fundraising in a small shop, and knows how to implement giving solutions that work!

As a former national board member of JustFaith ministries and current board member of Giving Hands, Inc., she’s had the opportunity to serve on highly effective boards. She understands what it takes to help board members become passionate ambassadors for your cause.

Rachel’s experience as a grant writer and grant reviewer for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development and The Children’s Trust of Miami-Dade County, has given her a keen eye for preparing strong grant proposals.

She has strong oral and communication skills including: newsletters, appeals, web copy, social media posts, and heartfelt, personal thank you letters to donors and supporters.

She’s won a fundraising award from Catholic Relief Services and was nominated twice by the Catholic Campaign for Human Development for the Diocesan Director of the year award.

Though Rachel’s professional accomplishments are impressive, she’s most proud of her role as a mother to three terrific young adults.
